Hey Guys,
Just wondering how i would go about testing Bosch coils to see that they are all good.
Is it just like a normal Single coil?
Primary winding:
By using a multimeter and putting the negative Cord on the negative terminal and the positive cord on the positive terminal.
-Do i use resistance or continuity?
-what is the standard resistance reading the primary coil should have from new?
Secondary winding:
put the negitive cord on the negative terminal and the positive on the outlet going to the plugs?
Once again do i use continuity or resistance?
What is the standard resistance reading the secondary coil should have brand new?
cheers
Lance

Yep multimeter onto + - ,use ohms=continuity.
Might not show up anything,as some coils only play up once they get hot.
Good luck but.

Resistance, u measure the coil in resistance and ohms, only you need to know what the ohms ratting is of the coil coz they are all different

Same as the HEC716's ... 1.1 Ohms. Standard RS / Early WRX are 0.7ohms.
