I hate to state the obvious, but take it to a panel beater and get a quote.

I am having scratch (that went back to the undercoat) fixed in that same position and it will cost me $300 cash (cos they are fixing rear end damage). I would expect yours to be more seen as though it is a dent.

They will have to blend the paint with the surrounding areas too so that the minor colour discrepancy doesn't show.

I agree with Josh.

That dent looks too complicated for PDR.

And just drive the damn thing.

No doubt, you'll do worse damage to it.

It's your first car. They're meant to be dodge-ems.

You're in for it. Almost 12 months into my P's and I've done my fair share of damage. I'd leave it.

~$600 I reckon, to do it properly it would need a respray of the whole side of the car for colour matching.

One little dent (rather nasty) from carpark door damage on my sisters car, had to respray the whole side of the car.

A skilled home job might be able to fix just the bottom of the door enough that it looks decent again... and respray just that bit rofl. But to do it properly would be getting up there. It may need a new door even.

Looks to have a sharp crease in it too. PDR might minimise the extent of the damage but to remove it totally would require full panel beater treatment IMO.

Looks like a towbar imprint.

Leave it.

Drive it.

Dent it more.

Sell it.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Fairly sure my car is like this, as one of my doors is a slightly off silver to the rest of the car. Unless it was just resprayed really poorly.

I would guess at a 'edge to edge' repair. Only the door was painted rather than being blended to the surrounding panels.

yours would most probably have been sprayed just that panel

if you replace with a factory panel/ colour, and give the whole car a good buff, i would think that it would be pretty close, both panels would have suffered a bit of fading from the sun

altho im not a panel beater/ spray painter :)
