But as Mark said, might be different for a higher power set up.
Cold side won't change, but hot side will if you rotate the turbo and or choose a twist mount set-up.

Avoid Microtec.. they are cheap but they are the biggest POS ever developed anywhere.
May aswell just sit down and drink a 600ml bottle of cancer.
oh really did a bit of research but not really extensive
and alot of ppl said they were ok
might dig into it some more

yeah bud im reading just hard to keep up with everyones posts lol
and as for your post bud i see your logic behind it just weighing up if its worth going fmic for $250 on the ej20 to boost her up a lil more before december
when its going in shed
just for a lil more fun before i take the ej20 out to see what i could get out of it before she went bang

There are a lot of people who know no better and get suckered in by the price point. things are shocking. No where near as tunable as an Autronic or Motec or something decent.oh really did a bit of research but not really extensive

People who are into Rotaries but know nothing about what they are doing use microtecs, can usually tell one that is running one by the dumps of unburnt fuel smoke they leave behind when mashing the pedal.

Your stock ECU will run fine with the fmic. Maybe just reset it.

Tbh mate, I'd wind up boost first then decide if you want to get a fmic. Im still running a tmic at 17psi. And whilst I do experience heat soak when stopped and will eventually upgrade to fmic, i wouldn't be throwing away $250 on piping for 6 months use.

Worry about it when the time comes

yeah good point
those stock tmic's are really bad lol
even at 12.5 psi she gets on the warm side spec when you on boost for awile then get stuck at the lights
once that heat gets in there its does not like going away
and the scoop really does not do it justice
"leaveing jdm ecu in it going to hold off on the ecu for now as scuba said its really not needed

Looking through some pics I have, lance seems I have larger cold side piping, but as far as sizing goes I'm in the dark as to differences it makes.

my tmic is not in the best of condition thou
preveous owners i think were a bit to rough with it
fins are bent and a bit flatend
and theres a few dints and gouges
[EDIT] yeah thought 16psi out of a standard tmic was really high lol but was not sure so did not challenge what you said

It's a cooling pro tmic, unsure of specs, it was the work of the p.o.
Fins can be bent back up if you have patience

yeah just have not been botherd from lazyness and been planing on geting rid of it with a aftermarket tmic or fmic
as the standard tmic is not that great to begin with
Just to clarify, my question regarding your age was not supposed to be derogetory I was just a little confused about your comment mentioning 14 year olds LOL.
yeah i know was not aimed at you mate i appologize if it seemed that way was just usieng it as a example

Do you even have an RS mate? Not a stab, but they come with Water to air intercoolers. Not top mount air intercoolers.

previous owner put the ej20-g turbo jdm engine conversion in it
and has a standard tmic
has RS turbo bonnet and just got front and rear bars and side skirts
not a genuine RS mate
