I will be getting my car tuned later this year, as a Christmas present to myself. My question to you folk is as follows... I currently have the following. 1x B4 Liberty (blue for extra speed) 1x Upgraded Hyperflow TMIC 1x In-guard Hyperflow CAI 1x Full turbo-back exhaust Everything else (engine component-wise) is stock, car has just had its 100,000k service at 103,000k's. Question: What should I look at doing before getting the tune done? Mostly as far as boost controllers, or any other gadget I might be missing. I mostly want to do the tune once, and do it right the first time and get the maximum benefit from it. note: upgraded turbo's/single turbo are not on the cards at this point. Thanks, Alex.

Ugh i could ramble on for forking days about this stuff.

For those mods I'd probably just put in a walbro fuel pump for safety. Not much more you can do to the B4's unless you start playing with the turbos or go single. Well nothing that will give significant gains.

I'll key Billsy into this thread for you. He has a tonne of knowledge regarding the TT system.

Thanks Pete (and soop)

I'm not after huge massive KW's, and i'm reasonably happy with the twins for now and will go single conversion eventually, but not in the near future.

I'd like to maximize the benefit of a tune by throwing whatever I need to at it before it gets done.

I will be getting a Verso tune.

Something that Billsy is playing with, is a P18 exhaust housing on his primary turbo. I don't know how that effected the performance one way or the other. But it might be a cheapish upgrade that can be done fairly quickly.

Is that going to cost as much as a whole new turbot?

You have pretty much done exactly what I want done, besides the Hyperflow CAI (had one but didn't like the way the car performed down low in the revs)

Have you guys looked into replace thing plastic intake pipe to the turbo's? From pictures I've seen, it looks as if it reduces in size a few times, and has some rather sharp bends in it. I think this is also something Billsy has modified. Just for the record his car made 220kw@w.

thought about that. but dont know where even to begin to get RSK maps and there is an ECU to come from somewhere so why not just buy it and then i can do what ever i wish with my old one ie tune it to a fullysick piston breaking tune and run 1/4mile with it hehehehe

Doesn't Shane have an RSK? Get Kosti to copy the maps of that. Carton of ale either way should sort it.
