Hi Alex.

As much as hate painting, once I start I kind of get into it.

Sanders are a must. I use a 1/3 sheet for the walls and a detail sander for the timber/windows.

Are you using any oil base paints? How many rooms to go?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

We've got some oil based paint for the trimming in our little place. Apparently it's not quite as easy as opening a tin and slapping it on the walls?

If you are using oil based, add up to 10% Penetrol oil.

Makes the paint silky smoov and will dry with virtually no brush marks, providing the base is smooth and flat (you can use a water base selaer/undercoat).

My 'archs' and 'skirts' look like they have been sprayed.

Using water based paints.

My uncle is a tradesman painter. and recommends this paint:

Taubmans Tradex

Never had a drama with these paints.

This is simply fact. Carved in stone. Not negotiable.

This is where I find the BBS rims to be very very appealing.

That sucks mate! would be good for him to help you out in this situation!

At the end of the day though, I know how much you love doing things for yourself so maybe you will learn something out of it? (no idea if you are already pretty up on painting)

Hahaha I know.. It's just so hard to pick rims! I'd love some meshies but then I sometimes want a simpler look.

Personally I think black rims on a red car would look bawse but it's just so hard!

Looks right to me, you don't want to put them under the car as you would lose them and that would be silly.

Looking at the angle they are set on, you have too much caster.
