I repair computers and whatever else you own with a computer in it. I can do full business networks but i hate servers and protocols with a vengeance.

I'm happy to repair computers, and im getting quite good at it after 3 years (you would hope so lol) Im also getting to the point where i can have up to 20 on the bench at once and repairing them all at the same time.

But, i would rather drop IT and become a mechanic or something.

Stupid annoying intermittent hesitation problem is stupid. Replaced the AFM, and it fixed it a fair bit, but every now and again, it shits itself for about 10mins, then comes good again?

Coilpacks?

Plugs will be fouled. Replace them, or run a can of upper engine cleaner, and wait for them to clear up.

That's how I started out too. I chose to stick with it cos there's plenty of money to be made in IT if you find the right company. They pay you a lot for doing very little.

Doubtful. It'd actually be worse when cold.

Thrash the car really, really hard - getting the plugs REALLY hot - and see if it improves. If it does, its your plugs.

My work pays overtime but we don't get any. We get paid for a 38 hour week but work 40. 2 hrs go in to an RDO bank. So day off a month. Get paid weekly plus I get a travel allowance to drive to work. If I have to drive my own car during work hours I get 74cents per KM.

Plus adult wage as an apprentice is awesome. Make more then some tradesmans I know. But don't tell them that.

One of my mates a few years back was an apprentice mechanic, he finished up a few months ago fully qualified and now works at autobahn doing retail cause it pays better.

I work 38hrs a week, and get an RDO every second Monday. OT is double time. Pretty lucky to get into where I did though.

Here we don't get anything like that, basically if you work anything over your normal hours it is your own fault. No TIL or OT pay.
Bunnings pays both OT and TIL :D I have about 3 weeks of TIL owing at bunnings at the moment, I make it pretty quickly there though so will be a month off by the time Christmas is over if I don't get them to pay it out.

"An American man has been shot in the buttocks after his dog stepped on a shotgun during a hunting trip.

Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Potter says the 46-year-old Utah man was duck hunting with a friend in a boat when he climbed out of the vessel to move decoys.

Mr Potter said the man left his 12-gauge shotgun in the boat and the dog stepped on it, causing it to fire."

The only reason I earn megabucks is because of the amount of overtime and on call I do.

In fact, I reckon it makes up for about 20% of my total income!

Hence why I have no fcuking life.

Kinda hard to say "no... I wanna go home now kthx" whilst someone's bleeding to death, and there's nobody else in the place.

You certainly earn your money. And not kidding but you probably actually do save lives by being there... unlike AMS who just saves them from getting uncomfortable with his airconditioners :P

I have no contribution to people being saved from living, if anything in my last job, i assisted, by designing mining machinery ;)

Now I just draw stuff that moves rocks from the ground to a train.
