Just wondering if anyone knows what Subaru would do for the 200,000k service as my car just went over, Wanted to see what I can do myself and leave what I cant to the mech....

Thanks,
Tim

Cool, if this is all then I can do it all myself, The only thing is the timing belt. What would I need to do that other than the Kit?

So this is my list so far...

Timing Belt Kit
Upper Engine Cleaner
Engine Oil & Filter
Engine Coolant
DOT4 Brake Fluid
Gearbox oil 75W90
Rear Diff Oil 75W90?
Dexon III Power Steering Fluid

Anything I have missed??

do the waterpump (is included in some tb kits, not in others) and check you get 3 pulleys (some kits ive seen come with 2) with the timing belt kit

Got all my stuff, Got the stuff from Subaru as I need to get it done this week as I have the time off.... Ended up getting it cheap anyway so only would have saved $50 on the timing belt and got the water pump for $98 genuine. Also got my rocker cover gaskets to do... Will be fun!

Any tips on changing all this stuff? for the boys that have been there before.....

Also whats the best way to change the power steering fluid?

Before taking anything apart, mark with liquid paper & take photos of how things are put on then just copy the markings onto the new gear,,,

Also download the manual and have a read before you have a go.

75w rear diff oil is a little too thin... 80w90 is better, And 75w for the box

Sparkplugs, sparkplug tube seals and half moon seals while your doing rocker cover gaskets.

Have already printed out all the pages I need from the manual...... =) And have looked up some videos on youtube. Got it all sussed out now,

I have a little bottle of the 80w just in case as I read somewhere about it before.....

Spark plugs, leads and the coil have been done already as the coil failed around 195,xxxk, and I did the fuel filter also.

Also forgot to get a themostat, so had to get one today so I have everything for tomorrow. Figured I may as well do everything while I am at it lol....

Oxygen sensor!?

If it isn't throwing an engine code I wouldn't bother.
