As u know, I'm still on the look out for a decent foz. Everyone's advising me to stay away from the 00' gt now as it is getting a lil on the geriatric side of life :( although i've always loved that look I think i'll do the smarter thing and go for performance rather than prettiness :P
and apparently all fozzas have wheel bearing issues?
I'm leaning towards maybe an XT - purely for the fact that I'm not a fan of the newer look. How do the 2002 - 2007 foresters rate in your opinion?

Im judging purely on looks, but I think the 02-07 model Foresters look great. They were the last of the wagons. The new ones just dont do it for me, they arent a wagon, they are taller, bulkier and remind me of a rav4 more than a Forester.

Absolutely agree with u there!

unfortunately i dont feel comfortable driving manuals haha wish i did!
i was aiming from $4000-$12,000ish. Those are certainly 2x gorgeous looking
cars.

i found this one for $15,000* but abit more $ than I can afford atm and I'm petrified of buying a lemon.. which I'm sure every car owner is when looking around.

I have a MY05 XTL, in stock form they are great. They have the performance and the practicality there. After a few mods they get even better :D

For the amount of money you are looking at spending i would recommend a GT as you can get some with less then 100000kms in good nick for $10-12000. XT's are still a bit pricey for ones that have less then 150000.

But then again it all depends on what you want.

You'd be best asking Morgan for this one. :-)

Looks straight but it has a lot of k's on it. Sometimes it's worth spending a few grand more and getting something with les mileage.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Could be worth a look/test drive but damn that's a few kays!

Mine (albeit about 18 months older) has over 100,000km less.

A 2008 thread revival! Really?

Anyway, like I said on the Facebook page... High k's, no log book. Walk away.
Ex govt? Yeah right, not with those k's and not that year. It might have been a govt car for the first two years of its life but who knows after that.

Hi,

What SUBARU (Chris?) said. An ex-gov vehicle should have low k's and definitely log books. I should know, I'm looking out my window at one.

Cheers,
Nik
