Concrete?

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

So in anticipation of fitting a new LSD soon, and while my mate has his welder out in the midst of a V6 Hilux conversion, I decided to weld my diff before the next eastern creek wetpan day, before the CA conversion.

Also replaced my castor rod bushes as they were fubared, and causing the car to veer right under heavy braking.

Gotta do all the suspension bushes soon too.

Cheers,
Shazza

Big weekend of stuff.

Stripped the S13 over the weekend, and took the motor, gearbox, tailshaft, full loom, all sensors and stuff and the front seats out of it. Engine seems to be in good order, bar a few oil leaks. But that's cool, cause I'm going to change all of them while the motor is out. I also need to go through the standard S13 Loom, and find what wires I actually need to run the motor. My other thought, was just to purchase a haltech loom, without a plug, and just wire up the haltech loom as you normally would, but then splice it into the factory ECU pin outs. Then if later I decide to go haltech, I just buy a haltech connector and switch it across.

Next steps are to order my engine mounts off Kaizen Garage up north, and source a T series diff, bolt it all in, check the tailshaft length, and get one knocked up. Then run new high pressure fuel lines, with a surge tank setup, and battery relocated to boot, FMIC and exhaust done, and theoretically, should be boosting.

That boot floor will buff out Shaz and the occy strap, is that JDM or AUDM?

That combo in a KE70 WILL HAUL ARSE.
So long as it can get the power down. :)

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

It's definitely AUDM, bunnings spec.

I reckon it's going to be insane. Car weighs 810kgs. Engine will make around 200hp I reckon, pretty easily. 1 horsepowers per two kilograms.

Shazza

Looks good Shaz!
I saw someone mention a while ago that the KE70 fuel tank should be replaced because it's not suitable for EFI somehow, have you considered that? I don't recall why it supposedly wasn't suitable mind you...

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It will need a larger supply line and a return line fitted as well as some sort of swirl pot so it can draw fuel when the tank level is low.

Yeah Jase is right. I think I'm just going to run a lift pump to a surge tank then a high pressure external with new lines instead if fitting a JDM tank.

Cheers,
Shazza

Are you planning on Cleaning up the engine and making it a tidy install? Or just chuck it in for now?
