Hi all,

The bushes on my car are finally giving up. I own a 99 Subaru Liberty BE RX.

Just after some advice on whether replacing most or all bushes with Whiteline gear would be suitable for daily driving. So far i'm looking at the front control arms and the rear control arms, no sway bar links or any of that jazz yet. This will all go in with a set of fresh Bilsteins.

So I'm interested in hearing everyone's opinion.

I'm also interested in rubber but i can't seem to find much on it other than Subaru made stuff. If you have any info on rubber either it would be great if you could point me in the right direction.

Cheers,

Myles

Rubber, always go rubber! Quieter and longer lasting. If possible get the group N bush kit from the impreza if it fits, as they use a stiffer rubber.

I forget how many pedders bushes i have replaced with standard stuff due to it lasting 5000-10,000kms

I used to hate having to regrease all my Whiteline bushes in my Legacy every 6 months as it started to sound like an old Falcon. Replace with new rubber ones and enjoy the quietness and relative firmness of new bushes over old.

Just order from Subaru.

Go to a dealer, ask for a quote on the bushes you want (you'll need you VIN) - make sure they print it out.
Type the part numbers into the Google box and buy them from the US for 1/3 of the price.

Hey Guys,
I'm a little bit swamped for choice over in the US for online stores. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best Online US parts supplier?
Cheers,
Myles

I do use a third party reshipper though.

http://www.shipito.com/ are good re-shippers.
Flat $8.50 on top of whatever the shipping is - can use DHL, FedEx, TNT, UPS, USPS etc etc.

Hey everyone,
Ordered my parts from Subaru Genuine Parts in the US last week, and received them today, so just over a week.
I got all bushes to do with the lower control arms both front and rear, a total of 12 bushes, for $350 including express shipping.
All the bushes where genuine Japanese except the 4 front control arm bushes, which where Subaru FHI of USA,
I was very happy with the customer service and quick responses via email.
I also recommend using Paypal as a payment method 10x easier, just ask them!
Thanks everyone who helped, you guys saved me a few hundred bucks! (Which will go towards Bilsteins)
