I'm just giving my perspective from someone who actively employs people in the hospitality industry in Australia. Not a personal assessment of Katie's situation.

The same people that rock up AT nine am, then start doing make up, getting their uniform on properly, have a coffee, have a chat about packed to the rafters... etc. etc... are the same people that are jacketed up with keys in hand at five to five in the afternoon, dashing for the door.

I understand what you are getting at; and completely agree.

However, I know how hard Katie works. She's doing the work of 2-3 people by herself. Every day she has to deal with brides who want answers about their wedding in 2 years, yesterday.

She's head down, go, go, go from the time she get's in until the time she leaves. Her current manager somehow can't see any of this when not 4 months ago her then manager was raving about how much potential she had and how impressive her skills are!
