Hey guys and girls,

Today I discovered a problem with the passenger-side, front electric window. I put it down, but it won't go up! I have discovered that the problem is not in the switch as I swapped it with another from another door and the exact same problem occurred.

Short term - What is the best way to get the glass back up so I can at least park my car outside of my garage?

Long term - WHAT DO I DO!? AHH!

Any help is appreciated :)

Can you persuade it while holding the switch up?

Probably need a new motor.

When you press the switch in either direction, can you hear anything in the door. Even the smallest sound?

You could remove the door trim and unplug the motor. If you connect a car battery to the terminals, you may be able to drive the motor up so long as it is not a motor or regulator fault. If the window goes the wrong way, just reverse the polarity.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

There is a tiny click when I press the switch to make the window go DOWN, but not up...
Is there a simple, manual way of getting the glass up?

Where avoids are you located? I've cut the plug from a previous car and stripped the wires and I use that the few Times I've needed. I've also got complete doors pretty cheap if ya need.

Epping, Sydney. 20-30 minutes from the Hornsby area.
Would those doors happen to be silver? :)

They are more a champagne colour, I was more thinking you could use all the electrics into your doors.
