I will be slowly moving the linked information over to SubyClub for a localised copy of it - however anyone wishing to view this information should be able to via the links provided. Hope it is of some use.

Guys, figured this info would be good in this post. Admin, feel free to take this info and incorporate it into the first post to keep this thread clean.

Brembos and Space savers.

You will not get a space saver that will clear front brembo calipers. They don't exist. You can however get one that will clear the rear brembo calipers (there were a few of the early brembo equipped STi models that had space savers).

In the event of a front tyre failure, you are supposed to put the corresponding rear tyre on the front, and the space saver on the rear.

Apparently the correct model for a 5x100 brembo compatible space saver is the 06 WRX (not the STi). After that they went to the 5x114.3 pattern, and wont fit the older brakes. Most early models with brembos had full size spares.

Thought this info might be handy.

Cheers,

Ben

Are you on drugs? If so I want them, they must be good.  :D

Wow. Thats interesting. Everywhere I have read says nothing clears. Even my spare parts guru at subaru says they wont clear front calipers.

Just any GDB model, or a specific year Cruisn?

Handy links for WRX 4/2pot calipers. Includes part numbers for all the springs, shims, etc. If your Japanese is ok you can backtrack links to the BE/BH DIY installation.

4-pot

2-pot

OEM bleed screw: 26238AE001

If you can help with the banjo bolt part number, that'd help finish the full set of part numbers.
