Are they just pickled?

yep :D Same as when you get Jalapenos on pizzas and in a lot of mexican shiz, they are often pickled ones.

Awesome!

Have you done the dried chillis? I've got some capsicums emerging from seeds ATM! Took em like 2 weeks!

yeah I normally do a batch of dried chillies :) I use the food dehydrator so it only takes a few hours to dry them, then use a coffee grinder to turn it into powder :)

Just bought some chilli seeds. Some generic mix from bunnings. Says "Jamaican blend" on it. I also bought Gogo juice? Going to chuck them in a pot and hope they thrive like the basil is. Any tips for planting Joshkingofchilligrowing?

Sig worthy.

Brett, this stuff?

WHOA MASSIVE IMAGE!

I use that in conjunction with water I vac outta the fish tank, every couple of weeks. I wouldn't bother too much until the seeds sprout, but I could be wrong? It is basically bacteria that helps break the fertiliser down or some shit!

Well I couldn't wait for Josh to answer my question ( useless <insert appropriate offensive noun here>, what good is he if he wont answer my chilli questions?

Anyway I planted them in smallish pots to begin with. Used premium potting mix. Shoved my index finger in to make the holes, dropped a couple of seeds into each hole. 5 evenly spaced holes per pot. Lightly patted down the mix, and watered liberally.

Grow bitches!

Sig worthy.

hahaha, yeah that should work Brett :D Adam has had really good success with that Gogo Juice.

I generally use a seed raising mix to germinate the seeds as you will get a far better germination rate, however having said that, last lot I was too lazy to buy more and just used Premium Potting Mix and most of them sprouted.

I have to do a bit of a water change shortly on my fish tank, might take a page from Adams book and dump it on my plants :D

Put a couple of the chillis into bigger pots, one was in the planter, one was in the plastic pot.

Got a few more herbs, things are getting a bit crowded :)

so should chillis be grown in full sunlight? And do they like plenty of water?

Sig worthy.

Mine are in full sunlight

And I water them every day when it's hot.

But my soil drains well

hmm I have mine in pots with a pot dish thingamy under the pot. It holds the water. I wonder if the soil is too wet? I planted them over a week ago and I still have no chillis to eat!!!
They are also not in full sunlight. Theyre under my carport (thats the easiest explanation. Maybe ill take a pic.

Sig worthy.

They take a while to come up... maybe 2 weeks?

Just make sure the soil is damp, I think if you over water it, the seeds can rot.

Josh will be able to help more. I just put seeds in dirt :P But it's his birthday today so his response may be delayed
