Just after some tips on putting in a new pilot bearing, I just used a socket to get the old one out as it was stuffed I just hit it out with a smaller socket. Can't find any sockets around the garage that a big enough to fit in the outside ring.

Was thinking of using something flat to hit it in evenly.

Anyone with some tricks they picked up installing it would be great.

I assume its in the flywheel and not the crank.

A punch will do the job, just work your way around the outside but be careful that there is no lip for the bearing to shoulder against.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Yep in the fly.

Thanks for the idea, never thought of that.
