Hey guys.
alot of you have known me and the lib since she was a bog stocker...
but for those of you that havnt.. i thought its about time i made a build thread on our journey.

ok so, somewhere back in 2006, i purchased my lib from a car yard in penrith. She was a bog stock 1995 gx 2.2 manual FWD!
Posted Image
as she was when i bought her home.

drove her around like this for quite some time just with the addition of a fully sick canon muffler to release that awesome boxer burble we all love. somewhere down the line i blew 2nd gear syncro.. so instead of finding a replacment box i dedcided that i would look around for a smashed gen 2 AWD, and to my luck i found one for cheap with only minor front end damage!

so got the car towed home jacked it up and begain swapping the awd system out of the donor car and into libby that weekend. so there it was happy days i now had the awesomness of that is the subaru awd.
shortly after i mad a complete custom exhaust from the standard collectors including a hi flow metal cat and (dont judge) canon muffler.

Dad cutting the donor car inhalf ready for scrap, after i had abit of fun with a sledge hammer!

found some gc8 wrx seats for a cheap price and decided to purchas them and stick them in for a bit more of a sporty feel, and did the typical cai install. also managed to pick up some jdm projector headlights and jdm legacy gtb turbo bonnet.
aek then had an rx front bar for sale which i snapped up quick smart and got to painting and fitting. also fitted some 2007 outback 5 spoke rims for a bit of difference from the 13'' steelies the car came with.

this is how she stayed for about a yr or so.. then i managed to get my hands on the rest of the rx body kit and as i had the car at the panal shop for repairs after being side swiped.. i got them to paint and fit the rest of the kit for me. happy days
so now the car looked nice and i was quite contempt with her untill, one day driving home from work my center diff blew! So again instead of just going out and buying a replacment box i bought myself a 1996 jdm version 2 sti half cut!! spent the next weekend with the help of a few mates, stripping the cut and my lib and swapping everything over.. a mate of mine who works for haltech had the liberty of splicing the looms together. i also installed a 3'' s/s xforce exhaust system with an mpo2 muffler at the same time.

put all new seals throughout the motor before i put it in and installed a new hd clutch and exedy lightened flywheel. also added a garrett boost guage to keep an eye on boost. few months later i attended a dyno day that was held at envy dyno and put the car on to see what she would make. 171.4 awks. not bad even with the tmic not reciving full flow of air due to the angle of it and me not having the correct splitter for it.
But wasnt long before i got sick off looking at the crooked tmic and decided to go down the fmic route. so i bouight a core and bought some odd intercooler piping off scott and fabricated up what i needed to make it all fit.
around trhe same time i decided i wanted to ditch the tdo5h and replace it with a vf23. the difference i felt was amazing! but the double 90 degree intake before the turbo had me a little worried about restriction so while the boss was over seas for a few weeks i left the car at work, chucked it up on the hoist and added some tomie headers and fabbed up a custom up pipe to twist mount the turbo! made a cai for it and relocated the afm into the guard. put it back on the dyno to see if this made any power increase at all, and to my surprise it did!! the car now made 184.6 awks!
since then all i have added is 440cc injectors gfb gforce 2 electronic boost controller, aem wideband to keep an eye on afrs. and this is how the car sits currently today.

Car looks sweet dude, I like that spolierless look. I wasn't even aware that Gen 2's came with a FWD option!

Very nice!

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Nice!

I really think those wheels which are on in the first (i think), and in the second picture, suit the car and the colour of the car well. What happened to those?
