Gents,

So, I parted with the R34. It was a great car, in great condition, but it just didn't suit what I needed in a car any longer. Requirements change, and as such, the car sold, and I was looking for a wagon again. So I bought a 2002 Nissan Stagea Axis Autech model. This is the "Spec B" of Stageas, so to speak. It came with better then factory suspension, an aero kit designed by Autech, and a whole heap of other small bits and pieces I won't bore you with.

There is a few things I would like to do, but I am in no rush to do so. Basically,

- Lower it. No coilovers. Just lowered springs. I am enjoying the ride comfort.
- Turbo back exhaust. The Stageas suffer from an extremely restrictive factory design which actually can cause premature turbo failure, so this is something that I will definitely look at doing in the near future.
- Shift kit for the auto. There is a company in Sydney that does a "Stage 2" kit for $500 fitted, that, accoridng to reviews, makes the car completely different to drive. Many more response!
- Aftermarket stereo. The factory radio goes from 77.2mhz to 90mhz, basically rendering it unusable in Australia. And yesterday, the in dash 6 CD stacker shit itself, so this is fairly up there on the priority list. Something with iPod, Bluetooth, GPS, etc etc. The factory stereo facia is incorporative of all aircon controls, which makes fitting an aftermarket one a difficult excercise, but luckily, the M35 Stagea shares the same platform as V35 Skylines, and 350Z, so a 350Z facia fits, as well as all aircon controls.

Anyways, without further adue, here is some pics.

Looks better in the first 2 pics :P

Nice going, not so much of a fan of the newer ones, but im sure you will make it look good, provided you keep this one long enough.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

It's a VQ25DET, so a 2.5L turbo V6, paired to a 5 speed auto.

Nice Shaz, a good looking car and it will be good to see you add your own touches to it. Should end up being reliable and practical which I assume is what you went for when buying it.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Done the brakes yesterday. They felt very crap from factory, and didn't stop very well at all, so I went and got a set of RDA Slotted and grooved rotors and some new pads to match.

The rotors are actually a 350Z Touring non brembo rotor.

So we started with something like this.

and ended up with this.

By the way, thats copper grease in the third pic, not rust. :P

Cheers,
Shaz

Very nice upgrade. How much did the brake discs set you back?

Not bad. You should definitely notice a big difference. I assume you've test driven it already? How does it compare?

You have a private message awaiting your response too. B)

Nice work shaz, keen to see what you do with this - it's a pretty ugly car stock but with wheels and more low, it should look good.

How much of a difference did the brake upgrade make? I didn't think rotors made that much of a difference to stopping power.

Yeah, a lot of people don't like the look of them, but I love it, and that's all that matters. It's ticks every box I was looking for.

Tim - Yeah, didn't make a huge difference mate, but it does feel nicer under braking now. Not so much better, but smoother and more responsive. More then likely the new pads, but the old front right rotor was warped, so they needed replacing regardless.
