Got a knocking sound coming from mostly the front right wheel whenever im at a low speeds, say 50kmh and below.
Sound normally comes at when im going over light bumps or white lines i.e. end of freeway lines and intersection lines.
At first i thought it might be worn engine mounts being i have a very aggressive idle when ever my A/C is on and in drive. But im starting to think its my brake pads because if i tend to reverse and brake, the pads sound like they go back into place when i brake going forwards again. I've lifted the car up and i don't have any movement in the wheels or linkages. Some times i think its the whole sub-frame, but surely that would be obvious.
So was wondering if anyone has had this problem with their pads or anything.
any suggestions?

Does*
Put the car in first (assuming its manual?)
Rev the car. Sometimes the gear stick will pop out if an engine mount is worn.
Also, if you put the car in gear and rev while a mate is looking at your open engine bay, the way the engine moves can determine if a mount is worn. I forget the signs though...

Did you find a solution to this problem? I have the same issue... I noticed a slight tear in the engine mount in my car, i'm wondering if that's my issue...

Id say if the mount is torn, it will be the culprit.
