little update: Ok so one of the benefits of being a secondary teacher is getting school holidays. Today is the first day and I spent a little time doing a few simple little things that have been on my mind. Firstly, last year I bought a rear sway bar with mounts etc from Cam and have had them sitting in the garage ever since. So today i thought I would set about giving them a sand- with the help of my elder sister- and giving them a fresh coat of paint. Still need to get some end links and the mounting screws as the RX did not come with a RSB....it has the spot to mount it but nothing else. I really want to get this all set up shortly.

Before/ lightly sanded:

I also have been looking at the lower black window trim and rubber seals lately and been thinking that they have faded and have become spotted and ugly. Ill throw up a DIY later tonight on how to complete this process. But it was pretty simple- I did manage to stuff one up pretty bad so will be getting a new one and giving it a fresh coat of paint. But the others look good. Anyway some photos.

Before:

Cleaning the muck that has built up under the trim:

This is the one I stuffed up- on removal I applied a little to much force and it bent slightly- you should be able to see it in this picture- didn't realise how easily these bend. You do need to apply a decent amount of pressure to pop the green clips out on the rear doors as the window does not go far enough down to be able to pop them out gently. The front ones are easy. The rears proved more difficult as clearly seen by me bending one. Damn it!

But here is what they looked like finished.

I also went down to get a new flange welded on the diff back but he wanted $140 bucks- I am going to head over to another shop tomorrow and get another quote. But hopefully will have that on by the end of the week. Thats all for now. Cheers.

Yep got a good period of dryness up to lunch

So got 3 good runs in...1st in class and 5th outright for the day so the car worked wonders

Found two shortfalls that are being rectified asap to make things even better

Will update the thread soonish

Thats awesome mate. Good job. Looking forward to updated thread.

In other news, car is booked in for 10 am tomorrow to have the hi-tech diff back modified and welded up. Looking forward to it. Will update tomorrow with a sound clip. How do you go about embedding a video into this thread?

Does anyone have a spare one of these lying around that would be willing to part ways with for a 6 pack or cheap?

I gave the car a quick interior and exterior clean  ;)

I also finished with the RSB mounts...now all I need to do is get some end links and the mounting screws and that will be able to go on shortly. I chose a red and black colour combination but unsure if I like it. I think I do. Wont matter as under the car but- when your on holidays- you gotta paint some stuff.

This morning I got the exhaust done at Central Coast Mufflers and Towbars. I can recommend him highly, its only a small little business but he does a really good job. Plus he is a genuinely nice bloke. This is his business card..

Anyway here are a few photos...ill throw up a video of the sound later this arvo once the rain disappears.
