Okay....So boom mic and 3.5 mic adapter arrived...
Plugged it in and it seems to have amplified the static, crackling and now a frequency humming noise. The mic was placed right near the gopro or around it....not good! 
I disabled my in car parrot blue tooth and it made a bit of difference, turning off wireless connection between the gopro and phone also helps...
BUT! As soon as I placed it as far as away from the gopro it works 100%. Sounds awesome!

UPDATE: 
Been a LONG time coming.....But finally got there....Been very fortunate to be given this opportunity to own a machine such as this.....
The sound this car brings, reminds me of the subie sound I missed in the S3......But now with a added baby lambo tune to it.....5 cylinder engine is very intoxicating!
I've made subtle changes to the car since receiving it last week to make it unique...
Car has been PPF (in certain places most prone to stone chips, scratches, dirt etc.)
Ceramic coated the remaining parts of the car in Kamikaze ISM.
Wrapped the antenna in black
Wrapped the rear diffuser line with a grey strike
Wrapped the front intake in grey
Blacked badges
and other minor changes....
The way this car delivers power to the wheels is seriously amazing.....and the power potential these cars can extract is just quite staggering....

I originally wanted ARA BLUE, but due to the new WLTP emissions, the car I ordered is stuck in EU until next year.....most new EU cars will be fitted with particle filters like for diesels and re tunes (detunes?) to meet new stds...
The dealer could not confirm the details exactly, so ended up with this color as it was on the boat to AU mid august....

Will keep you posted when possible for sure....Here is what my thoughts are on S3 vs RS3 since ownership...
- S3 felt like I was sitting on it? RS3 feels like I'm sitting in it.... (hope this makes sense)
- Sound, well no brainier there
- Steering input/turn in is much more precise
- RS3 feels more planted (dynamics and the way it has been dialed in is better)
- Even with a tuned S3 with mods, the RS3 in stock form just gives you that experience that the S3 never gave? RS feels connected? has a soul? (hard call, but this is my experience)
- Power delivery in RS3 is more linear and cleaner
- Cold starts.....LOL!!! RS3 hands down....Neighbors beware....
