hey guys,

iv done a fair bit of looking around but i haven't found an answer yet.

i'm driving a my02 RS impreza but it needs more burble. i know that UEL headers will achieve this but i am not wanting to go out and buy borla headers being on my p's, this means i technically cant touch the headers, but.. if i can find stock uel's off another model suby with the heat shielding they it will appear to be stock.

so the question is, are there any stock UEL's that will be a direct bolt on to the rs?

Ive been running borla reps on my P's for about 8 months now. No issues from the police yet. Gen 1 liberty headers are unequal but will need to be lengthened to fit other cars. They're also restrictive as balls though apparently

The ebay borla replicas are.

Spewing! I just sold my Gen 1 headers with extended pipe. I went the Gen 1 option as the car is insured under my father without me been a listen driver. Don't know if the extended centre section would fit an impreza. Not hard to modify though.

Im confused.

You want UEL headers but dont want aftermarket ones in fear of being picked on by cops. Except, UEL headers would be useless to you without you having a rear aftermarket muffler to actually hear it, which i assume you do.

I think you would have more problems from the fuzz with a muffler than the headers

Just get aftermarket ones. No cop is going to get under your car to make sure you have standard headers...surely. As long as you have your under body tray in place, who would know!

+1 on this. Far as i know headers are a grey area as theyre not an engine modification and dont increase power

http://www.subyclub....s-for-ej202225/ and an aftermarket cat, with a new muffler ... done!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
