Hey all.

With these hot Aussie summers I had some guys in the back seat of the Foz that had sunscreen on and it has left a few marks on the leather. What would be a good reasonably priced product that would remove those marks? I have used the Armor all leather protector and that has done nothing.

Not much help but anyone goes near my car with sunscreen on they will be hung, drawn and quartered.

Then I will piss on their dismembered bodies and set the pieces on fire.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Chem Guys leather cleaner will clean up sunscreen good an proper.  Its also pH neutral so it wont dry your leather out.  However if youre feeling particularly worried by drying out, use their Leather conditioner after.

Sig worthy.

I'd try the lather method with a good leather shampoo. Then try to condition the leather.

I remember Morgan putting up a video of a guy doing it on YouTube.
Basically what he said. Took my time writing the last post.

Decent leather cleaning with a medium strength bristle brush.

Put the solution on the bristles and gently work it into the affected areas using small circles.

This should lift the unwanted grease from the sunscreen.

Wipe with microfibre cloth and clean with some leather conditioner.

A boot polishing brush works well.  To be honest though, if its only just happened, a good microfibre cloth should do the work for you.

edit:  Soft bristled boot polishing brush.  Forgot there are different types.

Sig worthy.

I've been using a parts washer bush (available from Bursons, has a blue plastic handle) which I've found to work extremely well. It's excellent for perforated leather seat. I also have a soft bristle brush for getting around dash trim etc without scratching anything.

There is also another video that the bloke in Morgans video does where he does a leather detail on an accord ( I think) he uses 3 different techniques that could be helpful for you.

Sunscreen, huh? Is that what you kids are calling it these days..

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

From Ripco, try the Autoglym leather cleaner.

Autoglym leather care cream/balm to moisturise the leather if you want to afterwards.

nothing that works as well as Chem Guys IMO.  Im guessing its the delivery that's putting you off the Chem guys?

Where are you Harry?  Central coast?

While on the topic of leather care etc; Ichiban has a blitzen interior ive got my eye on but is a bit worn. Is there anything that can "restore" it a bit.

Yeah and I just wanted to walk into a store and get something. I'm about 1 hour from the central coast.

Might give that a go.

I myself use the Oakwood kit that you can buy from Supercheap. Works pretty well with a soft brush to get marks out etc. I never liked the ones that are a cleaner and condition in the same bottle. I don't really see how it can clean well enough to then condition at the same time. (But thats just me) I have tired one before and it never seems to get it spotless

I ended up picking up one of those Oakwood kits. I will have a go at it when it's not so hot outside.

Early morning is the best time mate. Leathers cool and try and do it in a shady but well lite spot so you don't miss anything
