Amping Rear Speakers

RacerX's Photo RacerX 18 Jan 2014

So I found a good deal for 2 rear speakers and a 2 channel amp as mine are blown
Ive already got a 4 channel attached to the fronts and sub
My question is whether it is worth amping the rear speakers or not ??

I usually say no, you as the driver sit in the front seat, thats where you want the best sound.

Who cares about your passengers :P

I used to run all my speakers in this car and previous cars, now I focus on good sound up front.

In my opinion it depends if the rears are in the doors or on the parcel tray. if they're in the tray, amp. Cos you, in the front, hear that sound quite a lot.

I'm running 4 channel for speakers and a Fusion sub+amp all in one.
Split power from 4 channel to sub amp.

I have 4 gauge cable running from car battery into a T piece under passenger seat. You can pick them up at your audio shop.
Then run one cable to 4 channel amp under seat and the other into the boot into the all in one sub/amp.

Its nothing special. I suppose its the proper way to do it.

Like Ash said. :fork: the rear passengers. I don't even have my rear speakers turned on.

A bit empty and not as loud!

It all depends how you like to listen to music.

I would think so
I like a fully systematic experience so i think I'm gonna leave em plugged in but not get the amp just chuck in 2 more kicker speakers so all my speakers match (bit of OCD, except for the headunit)
