Hey guys, in the next few weeks Mitch233 and I are doing the clutch on his 2004 2.5l rs impreza.

Have bought a co version kit from dual mass to single mass flywheel, just wanted yo know if there was any real difference compared to doing a normal clutch (on an ej22). Obviously smalll changes but any big pain in the ass things or problematic steps, as a warning would be great.

Also im tossing up whether to drop the gearbox completely or just moving it backwards after removing the driveshafts, let me know which is the best option in your experience.

Cheers guys, Meadyy

If your going to move the gearbox back, you probably should just drop it out.

If the clutch is a push type you will have to release the bearing. ( I may have that around the wrong way)

Its the same same ;)

Only difference i found was the flywheel bolts to crank were a torx bit, not 12mm or whatever they are

doing an NA,
hire an engine crane and take the motor out.
no lying on your back in the dirt.

And you may aswell inspect everything for oil leaks while it's out.
timign belt if needed, etc, etc
