He is stressed and feels like everyone is taking advantage of him and we are busy and he needs me here to help push through jobs.
He asked me to try reschedule the interview, but if I can't we will have to work it out. I don't know if I can be bothered with the hassle of it all, if like to know how much I would get paid. It might not be a huge cut, but I still don't think it will be enough....

You never know until you try it man, and it is only an interview, you're not accepting the job there and then (nor are they giving you that option solely from the interview unless I've misread). Just give it a shot and see how you go man. Your boss has to realise that life doesn't revolve around him.
