Hey got a 1995 subaru GX wagon phase2 engine 2,2L ok my car runs sweet here n there I drive it to work everyday winter and summer no problems.
When I drive up a steep hill and get to the top and then stop or stop at traffic lights my car all of a sudden has power and starts to idle ruff the tone of the engine goes deeper check engine light come on and eventually I have to pull over and turn of the car this problem also happens when I open her up a little driving in higher rpm then usual what could be the problem????

I've tried eliminating factors that contribute to this
Fuel service, spark plugs, leads coils , sensors maf, tps, cas, ips, eks
Like I said car drives perfect until a climb a hill and get engine problems has anyone had this before cheers

I have

Friendly tip... You do not need to make repeat posts in different topics, one is enough...

We all see it on the front page and new posts page

Hydraulic Lifter Pump-up.

the sustained load and oil pressure causes the lifters to pump up and not allow the valves to close, car loses compression and stalls out.

The valve lifters need to be cleaned out.
try using a couple of engine flushes and switching to Magnatec DIesel oil (the thin version if you can)
this will help to clean out the oil galleries and the lifters to allow them to drain properly.

there's a procedure for dumping the oil, refill with diesel and run the car, (that has been used sucessfully numerous times)
but everytime I post it the naysayers start a sh!tfight so i don;t bother anymore
