Good evening gents.

With the completion of my upcoming build on the horizon. I want to track the damn thing.

I thought it would be great if we got a group of us (30 max) together for a day on the track at Marulan Driver Training Centre.
I'm looking at a Saturday in September at the moment, Just wanted to get some interest to see if anybody was keen.

Rough idea on prices:

Track hire for the day: $3000. - Divided by the number we get.
Ambulance attendance is $605 (compulsory for more than 30 participants). I would like to avoid that, 30 person cap will solve this.
If you need a track licence, It's $30.

+ Fuel
+ A set of front brake pads, You will eat a set on the day. Trust me.
+ Servicing your car/checking it over before making the trip and driving on the day.
+ Food/Drinks
+ Helmet Purchase

Remember, It's not about lap times or showing your mad skills. Marulan is a crap track for that. I would rather see this as a day to make you a better driver and to know what your car is like at it's limit and your driving ability at it's limits

Payment will be needed up front once a date is set and numbers have been filled.

Cheers, Cam. :)

never driven marulan but what about wakefield?

http://www.wakefield...off-the-streets

they run the days every so often so you don't need to worry about numbers or people not paying, or showing up its a bigger track and a lot more run off. So you'd feel more comfortable pushing the car

Alot easier then trying to organise a single date for +20 people. Id think marulan would do a similar thing though?

They do however they fill up super fast and are very limited numbers.

Wakefield will be the go and I won't have to organise anywhere near as much.

Come one, Come all. Wakefield park was one of my favourite days in my old wrx, Learnt heaps about the car.

Pretty interested

Reckon it would be essential to change the oil on a n/a? I was thinking if the oil was still fresh it shouldn't really need changing, maybe after the day though.

Service being a complete check over for potential time bombs or wear and tear.

Oil and filter always helps. Fresh oil before a track day would be ideal.

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. I'll throw down an EOI.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.
