There are probably going to be a lot of Ford haters out there but I thought I would throw this up anyway.

I sold the bug eye a few weeks ago and was originally looking for a Mazda 3 MPS but they all had issues, signs of a crash or high km's in my budget.

This XR5 was too good to pass up and I fell in love with them after by little brother bought one.

It is an 07 model with very low km's and is in perfect condition apart from 4 stone chips on the bonnet.

Current mods:
K Sport coilovers
Motor Cade air intake
2XS Racing dump pipe and 100 cell cat
Piper 3" cat back exhaust
Pumaspeed intercooler
Silicone intercooler hoses
DSCI Elite tuning plastform
Vibra Technics lower engine mount
Elevate dual port CBV
Elevate 3 port boost solenoid
Collin short shifter
Projector lenses retro fitted
DBA T3 rotors
Remsa pads
RSR rear camber arms
Collins short shifter

Very nice

They are decent cars, mate had one and it went well.

Lots of fun.

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

I should just convert to single, right?

Good pickup!

I like this orange.

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

I'm also a Holden fan however my mate is looking into getting one of these. I wouldn't mind one myself to be honest. True car enthusiasts like all cars. ;)

This is ssooo much cooler than an MPS! At least you will sound good when it torque steers into the car in the lane beside you :P

I'm so excited for sound clip of 3" 5 cylinder goodness. Possibly my favorite sounding exhaust note.

Thanks for the kind words guys :) I really like the orange, its so bright.

Torque steer isn't too bad at the moment but its going to be pretty bad after its tuned.

I'll upload a video of the exhaust as soon as its done, probably in 1-2 months. For the time being I have had the centre resonator cut out to let out a bit of sound and also to let out all the little pops and crackles these engines make.

This is the exhaust I am more than likely going to be getting :)

Nice one! Just sold mine on Saturday. Torque steer? Pfff... there's not as much as you'd think in these, it's minimal.

Heaps of stuff you can do to these, but the worst part is it's so expensive as you can only get stuff from Europe. After the mods you have planned, it should be a real weapon.

Congrats on the sale. Going back to a Subaru?

Yeah parts are pretty expensive but aren't too much more expensive than new parts for Subaru's. I would be happy with over 185 at the treads with those mods which I think is achievable pretty easily.

That exhaust sound maad! Keen to see/ hear this thing at HVC.

I've never driven an XR5, I was talking shit Re: Torque steer haha. Having driven an MPS 3 though.... Oh gawd. So much torque steer with stock power... Not sure if they run LSD though. I'm guessing this would reduce it? Do they XR5's come with LSD, or is that only reserved for the RS's?

Not sure if the exhaust will be done by HVC but everything else should be. I'll take you for a spin at HVC if you want.

Yeah the 3 MPS torque steers a lot compared to these. The MPS has a LSD but the XR5 doesn't. I will probably install a LSD from an RS if/when it needs a new clutch.

Have you figured out how to get massive bangs out of the exhaust yet?
