so as a few of you may know i used to own a 99 GT forester, and i loved it, but for some reason unbeknonst to me i sold it.... Anyway i recently bought an almost stock 2000 gc8.

comes with a nice leather interior, a set of TEIN coiloverss and an unmolested engine bay. the body work is fairly ok, a few small dings and the front bar could do with a respray but perfectly reasonable none the less.

So the day i picked it up i set about organizing my first mod, new silicone hoses in the engine bay, the stock ones were a bit brittle :)

second week i had it i set about making it abit more subyish with a nice 3' turbo back exhaust with XFORCE twin tip oval muffler by the only people i trust with my pipework :D PERFORMANCE EXHAUST CENTRE in northmead.

after i had stopped being giddy over the sound of my new exhaust, i set out to do some thing abit more major in the mods department, handling! and low and behold look what turns up this afternoon...

so it looks like i have my saturday planned out now.

more mods to come on the "keepimg it stock" front i'm sure

maybe she's born with it...... Maybe its an STI..

Doesn't look very stock to me :P

Anyways keep it going. I don't see many GC8 build threads on here so I'm always keen to see new ones.

Neat!

I like to think of it as borrowing someone's car and driving it better than them.

so i finally got around to getting the pictures i took last weekend on the computer.

the progress, installed the strut brace was probably the easiest part of the whole exercise.

i then set about on the rear sway bar, i had had the car on the 4post hoist at the exhaust shop and seen that it actually had an aftermarket sway in there, however the mount for the rear sway had been snapped and welded back together, so i decided to change the whole kit and kaboodle to bigger, better things, it all went together fairly easily except for when i went to bolt the bushing covers on and the bolt holes didnt line up, turns out the mounts where on backwards, :P rookie mistake i know. any how after redoing it all THE RIGHT WAY i'm happy with how it looks.

also could probably be moved to a build thread. cheers

hahaha i love the topic "i'll keep it stock"

I always say that, its basically me saying "it will stay stock til I find awesome parts". hahaha.

Really neat ride, I love how easy the rear sway bars are to access on these cars. The end links look AWESOMMEE
