Speaking of F1, I had in my hand the other day the following off a F1 car from a few years back:

  • Titanium gear lever. Fork it was light
  • Carbon fiber clutch and brake pedals.Fork they were light
  • Titanium rear suspension arms. Fork they were light
  • Various titanium bolts. (they are drilled through the center to make them light) Fork they were light
  • Dry brake fuel coupling. (has a cable attached to the engine, so if the engine leaves the chassis, the cable cable pulls the dry brake apart) Fork it was expensive.
  • Quick release steering wheel coupling. Fork it was light
  • Other bits that I can't remember that were really light.

Man, these cubts really know how to engineer stuff.

A quick search showed 69 petroleum refining companies in Australia. I cannot remember exact details or reasons why one is better over the other but I will get back into it with my tuner.

The oil comes from the same place/is the same, but the way it is refined varies amongst companies of course. I guess it's like any other product though, such as clothes. You can get good quality and you can get cheap, not so good quality clothing.

Is that 69 refineries that make fuel?

Really?

I'm surprised there are so many.

nope cause thats already been welded once i think :P

not really much to see i'll do an update when i get further into it :)

I see.

Please do!

I'm going to buy some acid

That's trippy man.

Still haven't decided which way to go with mine. Financially it would be more likely I stay with the twins.  Plus all the hating on FB is finally starting to get to me, it's motivating me to learn more and come up with some crazy undriveable beast of a TT set up.

Good stuff Josh.

I love it when people give the finger to the masses. :)

I can feel a new Billsy coming on. :P

Welcome back Ash. Where have you been man?

Is that 69 refineries that make fuel?

Really?

I'm surprised there are so many.

I did a search for 'list of petrol refineries in australia' and clicked the second link, which got me to a website called Manta, an online business directory. It has 69 listed on the site under the search term 'Petroleum Refining in Australia'.

I would assume that they all make fuel, yeah. It includes BP, Caltex and Shell amongst many others.

Mate of a bloke I work with.

They were both at Arrows F1 team back in the late 90's.

Adam. If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.
