Ok so I got issue with my 2003 B4 Auto
Its something that I though was a "me" problem but I finally pointed it out
On an average with a full tank to the empty light I get around 400-450K's as to where I use to get 500 or almost more then that when I first bought it
A few months ago I filled up at the south north bound twin servo on the M1 and gave it full throttle to merge back on the free way. As I did, when engaging the secondary turbo past 4000rpm I heard a slight pop and fluttery sound just as I got the boost, here's where it get strange. After I got off the free way into traffic I notice my engine response was a lot tidier and that I had allot more power just taking off to a normal pace. I didn't real take much notice, but as my fuel light came on a few days later I saw that I had done 550km, and continued till 600km and refuelling.
I never really though there was something wrong and that I might of just been me thinking about something that never was really wrong. So a few days ago I gave it a bit of a thrashing getting the secondary turbo working hard, and I heard the same fluttering sound I did before. So I stoped and did it agen and no sound was heard and repeated 4 times with the same result and I would agree that my engine was more responsive. Filled up and a few days later, what ya know I got 540km to the empty light agen continuing to 590 and refiling
Was wondering if anyone here has had a similar issue
To me there's something wrong and if I was to target anything I would be going to that bypass vale on the secondary intercooler pipe. If this was stuck open it would be leaking boost into the secondary turbo correct? Im unsure about everything and no idea what els it could be
an suggestions?
