After searching for a GT Spec B/Tuned by STI wagon for months and narrowly missing out on several, I finally got lucky and found 1 in Sydney. After a few messages were exchange, I booked a flight from Ballina to sydney on a thursday afternoon, checked the car out friday morning. After going over the car and being happy with it, I sign the papers, handed a cheque over and starting chewing in to the ~800km drive home.
I have a few plans for it but nothing major. TBE, wheels, lowered (either tein springs or coilovers of some sort) sway bars and a tune.
Anyway, here it is

How low do you want it?
I.e Pinks are a little drop, Tein's are decent, RSR's are probably the lowest.
2002 Outback - it's gone...

Love it. Congrats on the purchase!
Is it missing the headlamp washer or is it painted black?

I want the tyres to nearly meet the wheel arch, so maybe half inch drop? How low do you want it?

Pinks 20mm
Teins 30mm
RSR 40mm
Approximately....
I had RSR springs on the GT when I sold it. Pretty harsh. Ive also had Teins which werent much better. Since selling the GT Ive sourced and fitted STi pinks to it for the owner as the RSR were too low and harsh for him.
If you want to go lower than the Pinks, forget springs and get some coilovers. The BC BR I had in the GT offered a better ride than the RSR or Teins.

This is gonna be good. I can't wait to see what you do with it mate. That ride height is pretty much spot on in my opinion.

This.
I now run the exact RS-R springs that Mark is talking about. I actually bought them off him. They are a little harsh but it doesn't really phase me (at least not yet). If I was to ever get something done with my suspension in the future it'd definitely be STi pinks or BC Racing coilovers.

I guess the harsh ride is equally related to the age of the owner. Im past it.

Not only that, but the state of the roads too. A lot of the roads in my suburb and many of those surrounding it are complete rat shit.
