Hey guys,

Ive got a metallic, rotating grinding noise coming from the right front hand side of my car that only occurs above 70Km/ph it doesn't matter if im accelrating or just cruising. I was thinking it was potentially the wheel bearing but i thought that was more obvious at lower speeds.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it will be your wheel bearing. I had similar things occurring when my wheel bearing was playing up man. It wasn't audible at lower speeds, but once I was hitting around the speed you mentioned, you could hear it.

I think I paid $300 for brand new front wheel hubs (driver's and passenger side) to be replaced which included labour at ICHIban.

I mucked around and tried fixing it myself but I fixed the wrong side at the time. I got over it, bit the bullet and got both replaced.

If I were you I'd get the issue diagnosed properly first, and may be try and find a second hand wheel hub if you wanna save money.

Wow! 300 is heaps cheap. A mechanic on the coast quoted me $480 for just the front right hub

I'm not 100% sure as I've got to look through my receipts. I'll confirm it tomorrow. Your best bet would be getting in contact with ICHIban directly man.

Have you checked the brake pads?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

I've just had a look at my receipt from ICHIban. It was $300 each bearing which included labour. I hope this helps man.
