3.0 or 3.6 H6?

I've been tossing up ideas on what to build into a Gen 2

, going to be starting around mid next year but want to get planning earlier. I'm wanting That H6 exhaust goodness but I want the most reliability I can possibly get out of a subaru. Don't want to break 0-100 records or quarter mile times. Just want a practical cruiser with abit of grunt for when I feel like a mountain run or something.

I was considering buying a rear ended low km Gen 4 3.0 6speed and using it as a doner or getting the 3.6 out of a Tribeca separately and a 6speed separately but I've been looking at that option and it looks to be alot greater cost.

Aces 97' RX Liberty

Hi guys,

Bought this 1997 Liberty RX in September after I sold my 1994 GX liberty, I felt I needed the upgrade. The OEM springs and shocks felt so much better than the GX and the 2.5 felt alot smoother. I bought the car at the start of holidays and went about all the usual p plater things; plastidip rims, remove spoiler, stickerbomb fuel cap, tint windows, plastidip grille, white bulbs and LEDs. All was sweet for two weeks then after a trip to Newcastle from Coffs Harbour to get a set of rims the car did a head gasket. Was stuck in Kempsey for about three hours while dad brought a trailer and picked me up. So cars out of action for a while.

Would like some suggestions for a budget and nothing to out there as its only an n/a!
