Ignition leads

21 November 2017 - 10:02 PM

Hi Guys hoping someone might know what ignition leads I need for my 2006 Impreza..I have some I bought for my last Subaru but never used them so new in the box still so if I can use them I will save some cash as been quoted $1700 worth of work I have to get done to it and leads are one thing I need to replace So if I can use the ones I have already that would save a little bit. .They are heavy duty ones from repco says Subaru liberty, forester Impreza.Outback. 2ltr SOHO Ej20E Ej25D..Doesnt say what year..Anyone know if these would fit my car? Cheers

Tranny probs

24 June 2017 - 01:12 PM

HI All

I have a 2006 Impreza  which I bought just over 3 months ago from a caryard. It started snatching in 2nd and flaring in 3rd with the auto so I took it to my mechanic who said to take it to a transmission place. It had some work done on it a wk prior to me buying it so went to the place who did the work.It is under warranty with the caryard still so all good so far and the caryard is steping up by loaning me a car.

How ever these tranny people are baffled to what is wrong with the tranny. They said twice its not the tranny but electrical then they sent it off to an EFI specialist which was a waste of time as made no difference as its nothing to do with the tranny but the tranny place said it was a long shot. The car has only done 82ks and is virtually immaculate like a new car which is now what the tranny place is saying making it harder to find the prob.keep given different stories so was wondering if anyone else has had a similar prob with their auto or has any ideas..One story was the vac valve but does the 2006 have one? I'm not that mechanically minded but aware of some stuff but being female I think the tranny place is towing me along as well as the caryard.Got a mate of mine who is a mechanic to ring them and now they are saying they are going to put another tranny in to see if that is a prob. For specialists I thought they would of tried this earlier instead of over 2wks down the track..Waiting to see what they say next wk..MTA are now involved as the tranny people cant tell the caryard what exactly did they do in the first place as they didn't itemise the bill when  he had a job done  just said dismantled and repaired..
