The Journey

If some of you might remember, my subaru journey has been a rocky 3 years. First, was my attempt at converting an outback with a TT engine which ended up being sold. Then my Black H6 which was rough as balls cosmetically and needed alot of love. This this car came up thanks to Applegeek!

This is my 2005 Subaru Liberty Spec B H6, I swapped my black car and my daihatsu for this very good example of a Subaru that has been taken care of very well. If you've seen this around it was supposed to be a parts car for Applegeek from Vaccine in Canberra, but he didnt have the heart to part out a good car, so I took it from him !

Current Modifications

Raptor Headers
MY12 STI modified cat-back exhaust with quad tips
EXEDY heavy-duty clutch
Deatschwerks DW65c fuel-pump
Whiteline Anti-lift kit KCA334
Whiteline Bump-steer correction kit KCA313
GroupN Transmission mount

First Impressions

For a 300,000km car, it drives like a 150,000km car. Its does not feel its age at all. The exhaust is excellent for what I want, not too loud and when I open up the taps it makes a great noise. Never had a heavy duty clutch before but it does make me feel more confident with my gear changes. The car looks and feels stock but does not sound stock at all haha.

Plan (as of September 2018)

  • The first priority is to get a KiDo tune for this car. The fuel economy is ridiculous and Matt is known to work his magic. At this time, only going for a 98 Tune, E85 is not abundant or even scarce in my area and also near my work.
  • The current audio system does not work. Needs some troubleshooting, The amp seems to be missing a lead (circular and black). Worse case scenario, I will do a amp bypass and buy an aftermarket headunit which was a long term plan anyway.
  • Hel Braided Brake lines for better brake feel.

If I can get these goals done. I can delve into exterior JDM parts ;)
