As many of you know I wrote of my lib back in May and this had resulted in looking for an XT 6 months prematurely...

Fortunately my payout was quick and easy and well more than what I would have sold my Lib for which you could say was a plus.

After looking at few cars here and there, even considered a very nice Blue Liberty MY05 GT Luxury with low kms that i found at dealer for $17.5K, I took it for a drive then looked under bonnet, check out the turbo, oil sitting all around it and I went no thanks! The salesman even tried to bullshit me sayin theyve had it checked over and that the 3 months used dealer warranty would cover repairs if there was any problems.. I didnt want the hassels so just walked away.

Kept looking on carsales and found what seemed like to good of a deal, A silver MY05 XT Luxury with low kms for $14K, sent them an email then next day was advertised down to $11.8K, what the hell??? emailed them again, no response... So I kept looking, then I found this MY04 XT Luxury with resonably low km for $16.8K and very nice list of performance mods that was only 10mins away from me so I rang them to go have a look at it...

As soon I as I looked over it inside and out with a fine tooth comb, i knew this was it, the one I want only problem was 2 months rego so there was room to move with the price.

After a couple days and talking to a few people about talking the owner down I managed to purchase this at a very good price.

Finally found some time to look over the car properly and touch up a few things, got under the car and found 2 problems...

Busted inner driveshaft boot

Broken sway bar mount on left control arm

The boot isnt so much a problem for me but the sway bar mount is a biggie, I'm gonna need another control arm by the looks of it...Does anyone know if the wrx alloy control arms will fit? I'm guessing they will

Yeah they'll fit, not sure if you'll need GD or GC8 control arms. The links look the same as my RS impreza which would be GD.

Seems weird it's broken but.

You'll need to angle grind the inner bush that go's through the crossmember to make these fit ;)

Probably be better to get some spacers :P
