O2 sensors

What's the go. Looks like I don't have a V3 Sti plug on my car, so I'm more than likely going to have to cut and crimp.
Is it worth going the genuine V3 sensor and crimping onto the existing plug? I've always had an O2 sensor code even when it was working, maybe a genuine will fix that?
Or am I just going to spend more money for nothing?
Any tips?

Hi,
If you go genuine the extra money will go to peace of mind so you don't have to keep accepting the code.
I see no reason a sensor would be different as OEM, but at least you'll know.
Cheers,

If there is no other option than to crimp, do it as far away from the sensor as possible.
Most Zirconia sensors 'breathe' atmospheric oxygen through the wires.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Seem like an okay move?

If you can get hold of an old sensor you can carefully remove the plug and repin it to a new sensor if you are keen. That way you can do some testing without butchering existing wiring.

What is the part number of the original v3 sti ? An OEM denso is front o2 is usually only 70-120 bucks. Just get the Original one
