Looking at plumbing up my catch can on the 207 with 2 crankcase breathers.

But have read in a few places that you can block the vent that is pretty much under the pcv off and just plumb in the other.

Supposedly this is due to the amount of oil this vent can flick out because it is straight above the crank shaft.

Anyone plumbed it up like this or can shed some info on it?

Ok after a bit more reading it seems that the second centre port is used as a closed system to help equally pressurise the crankcase and heads. Seeing as my heads(99 sti) don't have the second port on them to support this feature, I'm assuming it will be fine just to block the port of and use the other as my crankcase vent.

Mines blocked off aswell mate...shouldnt be an issue as long as the rest of the pipework is adequate

I thought as much.

How is yours blocked, just a hose cap with a hose clamp?

Nope im pretty sure its capped properly with no barb on it anymore

But yeah thats probably how id do it...

or a bit of oil resistant hose with a machined alloy plug or something similar, as i find the hose caps always seem to perish
