Hi all!

So I'm sure most of you have heard by now, but on impulse I bought a Gen 3 and sold my Bug wagon.

The car was Will's and Brendan's before that, so seemed right to keep it in the club, as it has been for so long.

It's a 2003 MY03 Subaru Liberty B4 sedan in 01G Silver.

Car's build to date:

ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN:
  • Converted to single VF34 turbo
  • CP Forged Rods & Pistons - Engine built by Toys Garage
  • Heads rebuilt w/ ARP headstuds
  • 3" TBE
  • Equal length headers
  • Massive ebay-spec TMIC
  • Hyperflow CAI
  • 02 WRX ECU
  • Tuned by MSR @ ~215kwatw
  • Exedy HD clutch
WHEELS/BRAKES/SUSPENSION:
  • Slotted front rotors
  • Cusco Zero 2 Comfort coilovers
  • Cusco H-brace
  • Whiteline HD ALK
EXTERIOR/COSMETICS:
  • JDM HID headlights
INTERIOR/ICE/GAUGES:
  • Gen 4 5-speed knob
  • AEM Wideband UEGO gauge
  • Defi BF Boost gauge
  • Defi BF Link
  • Pioneer AVH-X5650BT
  • Pioneer TS-D1720C front speakers
  • Pioneer TS-A1675S rear speakers

The plan for this car will be with minimalist in mind, I will keep modding it, but rather then doing the whole "Look at me!" thing I was doing on the Bug, everything will basically be black or hidden on this one. The aim is a nice clean "stock" looking Liberty that can give people a shock when you put your foot down.

At the moment, the plan is to get my Inner-Cruisn on and give the car a much needed strip, clean down and re-wire.

Then my way shall begin!

Have already sourced a Gen 3 specific front mount kit to remove the bloody bonnet spacing haha..

Enjoy!

Awesome stuff man. Can't wait to see everything you plan doing to it. Much better than the Bug in my opinion.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Definitely not a BREENNNDANNNMOBILE, it was WillC spec. Now its going to a new and better home for further evolution. Hope to see how the baby turns out SAM!

And looks like your Dad might be in on the mods as well, he looked almost as keen as you!

It was priced right for a Club member and only for sale to a Club member, not advertised elsewhere! this B4 started on SC and will hopefully always live in SC.

Nice one Sam. Good to see this car will continue to evolve.

Love 01G silver! Wife RX is the same colour. Always looks good, even when dirty.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Haha, plates are staying for the shits and gigs. Also, they belong on this car. As far as I know, it's had them for 7 odd years. Not like I'm paying for them. :P

I'll treat it well.

It's where I get the car stuff from. He had some wicked cars before us kids came along, lol. :P

Close, but not quite..

Sam came over to play today.  The mission was to sort out his dodgy dirty spastic engine bay

This's what his engine looked like on arrival.... wires and unused TT shit, amp cables etc.

To the previous owner i say...forking disgraceful, WillCo!!!!

Just a shamozzle of mess and there's so many nice components to this engine hidden under crap and dirt and shit and crap and  wires.... that just didn't need to be there.

DSC_0791_zpsjd6s0lfg.jpg

With no delay we ripped out all the TT shit that was left over from the conversion to single turbo.

These are the parts that were removed.

DSC_0796_zpsl6n6iekw.jpg

The dodgy stained useless hood lining was removed to reveal a beautifully protected surface underneath.

What good are these things if they are tatty stained & ugly.  Rip them off.  Bin the cubts I say.

DSC_0797_zps1jod3qy1.jpg

All the amp wires and earthing kit were wrapped with black conduit. The pos terminal on the battery looked like a forking disco with shit going here and there.

A lot of wiring was concealed and run in a more discreet direction.

DSC_0806_zpsbdopmrjd.jpg

The metal TT vac lines that sit on top of the manifold were removed.  The crank case breather hoses connect to this on a TT engine,so new crank case lines  had to be run.  I only had red silicone 10mm ID hose to get the job done but it will be replaced with black silicone soon enough.

DSC_0812_zpsoexcie8g.jpg

All surfaces polished. Yellow bits scrubbed. Wires & hoses going in right directions.  White cable ties removed from everywhere.

DSC_0834_zpsalky93yv.jpg

Number plate raised.

Tidied cleaned and organised.

And......
