Hey guys, thought I'd finally start a thread!

Bought my MY01 Outback back in June 2014, with 245xxx kms on the clock. I picked it up from Williamstown for $1500. It needed some work for a roadworthy such as new front drive shafts, and fixing up loose wires behind the airbag that meant the horn didn't work. All that work ended up around a grand plus RWC.

20140808 160918 (1)

Got it registered a week before getting my P's in August, which was perfect timing for me. I drove it to the Grampians the first day I got my license and took a few photos up there.

Didn't really do anything with it for a month until I found a canon muffler off an old WRX out the back of my old mans workshop that he said I could have. So I took it to my friend Noel who worked at a muffler shop and he put it on for me for $30 which was pleasing to my wallet. Will get around to getting a sound clip of it. Next on my list was to get a boot spoiler after seeing Chris (scoobyoutback) and sbv with one on theirs. Cost me around $200 to import from Japan off Import Monster and had my dad paint it for me.

I also bought 17" gen 4 Liberty rims off weaslebee for $300 which are yet to go back on the car due to a burst tire. But I have got a photo of them on it.

Last Thursday (16th April 2015) I purchased Bilstein suspension and GT-B interior off Snowball which all went in within 3 hours of arrival at his workshop!

20150416 113603
20150416 131945

John did a fantastic job and I am very grateful that he helped me out with the suspension swap and interior swap. I'm loving the way my car is shaping up at the moment.

My intentions now for the car is:

  • Whiteline 22mm rear brace
  • New tires and re-fit 17" wheels
  • Momo streering wheel to suit gen 3
  • Monsoons
  • Re-paint the car (red and 49b metallic)
  • Lots of JDM goodies!

Let me know what you guys think so far, I know I've posted more photos than words on this thread but I rather show my work than talk about it.

-Chris

They're out of a gen 3 GT-B I think, so from 00-03 or whatever the start year was. As for the swaybar, haven't done it yet, it's on my to-do list.

Hey guys, got my HID's here ready to be wired up and fitted in! Pretty good for about $150 from Import Monster, if I do say so myself.

20150421 125915

Also got a comparison of my car, pre and post bilstein suspension.

Before

20141115 180118 Richtone(HDR)

After

20150421 125827

Can't wait to get the new tires on my 17's so it looks killer! Hopefully will have the HID's in sometime this week too and make sure they don't blind any poor person heading towards me  :sarcastic:

Like always I just can't wait!

Installed the HID headlights the other night, waiting on a leveling switch from New Zealand at the moment as well as the roof hooks for the GTB cargo barrier in the seats. Its just those little things that you add to the car for aesthetics that I like.

Neat looking outback Chris.

Before the blues went in did you remove the factory lift blocks from the crossmembers? Just curious!

The rear wing really sets off the look of the Outback with the lowered suspension! I do like!

Cheers
