hey guys, after a long trek through hell, I got my heater core out. Called around the radiator shops and parts shops in town and none have my one. Look online and it doesn't seem to exist?? Perhaps there is a revised edition and so the photos i've been looking at aren't the same? Anyone got a part number please?Attached File  uploadfromtaptalk1430462250569.jpg   5.31MB   10 downloadsAttached File  uploadfromtaptalk1430462338180.jpg   7.37MB   11 downloads

Most of these sort of parts arent kept in aussie stock and are therefore sent from Japan when required? So im not at all surprised in what youre saying

Ask subaru if theyll get you one in..or look into the overseas parts locators etc

$146.36 USD from Subaru Genuine Parts in the US of A. Need to factor in shipping though. Might get a used one on IM, or any other Jap site, also might be cheaper from Japan.

Fork getting a used one. Pulling the dash for a second time down the track would suck balls, big hairy sweaty balls.

Sorry, what I'm saying is, I cannot source this part locally at all? Of course something comes from another country, but in most cases it is kept in a warehouse somewhere in the country. But this core doesn't seem to show up in any searches on google or anything. Obviously shipping from USA will take weeks. Already had the car off the road for 3 weeks, and it's a pain! The outback cores are the same, so I was wondering if they did a revision, because the one I have seems flawed with it's connections...

What did you search for to get that price? I get $232 for PT071001 HEATER CORE

Was that using p/n 72130AE000 Niko?

Doesn't work for me, 'no listing'.

This mob https://partsouq.com...ch?q=72130AE000 show the p/n but no availability. I wonder if the part is NLA (no longer avalable) from Subaru?

Subaru have it for $660. I'm wondering if the heater core with the bolt on pipes for outback/legacy/liberty 00> is an updated core and my one is superseded? The pics I've looked at look like it should fit my car. Will try the wreckers tomorrow to see if they have one and I'll compare them

suby bloke.

I've got a '99 outback heater core still inside the HVAC unit in my garage.

Let me know if you want me to pull it and measure anything for you or take pics.

That could help duncan, do you know what way the pipes connect up to the core mate? If you could get me the outer core dimensions and distance from core to the end of the pipes (where they go through the firewall) Maybe I could work it out...? Assuming it's the bolt on type anyway. Thanks fella
