Alright so I'm trying to get my boost gauge to auto dim with the dash lights when the headlights are turned on
So I want it to be on full brightness with headlights off and 'night mode' with them on, (my dimmer switch is set to the night mode notch)

In a gen 4

The dimming switch colours are

Purple
Green

Blue/black
Blue
Grey
Black/white

I've tried all possible combinations (the purple+ and black- dims the gauge, but is off when the headlights are off and doesn't change to 'night mode'

Anyone done this? Or are a super auto electrician and can explain how it needs to be done?

Thanks

Headlight fuse tap triggers the relay?
Any resistors used?
Great work :)

Used the violet wire which is the illumination +

Only used the variable resistor, no more were necessary :)
It was a 500ohm I think
Was actually really surprised at how well it worked haha

Not 100% what I wanted but close enough :)
