Yeah that's an awesome price man! Good buy. I am unsure whether I'll go with the headers next as it would basically come down to how much it would cost to get them, but I would definitely recommend the stainless steel Xforce centre and Y-pipe assembly for the Outback. It's the same system I've got on my wagon and doesn't cost too much if you get it from Best Mufflers in Carlton.

Thanks man, good to know. I like a bit of noise that I get from my Ultrex, don't want drone when cruising though, so we'll see.

I want to check out the fitment of the STi mufflers, since they are for a wagon. I feel like the Ultrex ones on the outback are a little too short for the Outback's rear bumper, but Oh well, time will tell.

If the STi ones you have bought came off a wagon they'll sit perfectly like you want them. I don't get any drone with my set up.

Yup, off a wagon. Should be good then.

Well, I might consider the setup you have then, but in time. If I do go for the STi mufflers, I'll sell the Ultrex ones and hopefully that should pay for the y-pipe.

So many monies spent.

Yes sir :)

Very good score indeed. These tend to start around $500-600.

This is true from what I've read, but the dude was just keen to move them, and didn't want to post.

If I don't want them, if I prefer the Ultrex ones, even with the y-pipe eventually, I'll put them back up for sale.

Should be good though. Can't make the H6 rumble like a nice 4, but they do sound good when you push them. I just want to hear it from time to time.

Are you selling? Lol!

But yeah, cheapest STi mufflers for a wagon before these ones were around the 400-500 mark that I've seen.

Crazy for stock mufflers with the STi stamp on them, but then again at the price I got them, they are cheaper than my Ultrex ones by a fair amount

That's the price they have always been even before I bought my TCP Auto ones. It's crazy that they can still hold such a high value. So long as people are paying that amount, they'll remain that expensive I guess.

Mine were a bit more because I bought them ages go when kids were first putting STi mufflers on Foresters, but these days you can pick them up for $50-100.

Mosti had a set of TbSTi mufflers for sale not long back.

Don't think I'd pay $600 for an OEM part that doesn't do much, could buy most of a catback for that price.

That said wagon STi mufflers are probably rarer than WRX STi mufflers.

Yeah I do think the wagon ones are little more rare, since the tips are longer, they wouldn't suit a sedan.

Mosti was selling his for $400 I believe? Not sure what they actually sold for, but last price listed on his thread was $400

We'll see how it goes. Outback will be lower on Spec B Billies and with STi mufflers. Lol!

Such a wannabe

Outback was ALOT cheaper and less KMs

But yes :(

I know. So Sad.

I just want the Outback to handle better. I don't mind the look of it as it sits now, but handles like a boat.

Will get on billies and then front and rear sways. That should ground it a lot better

That'll definitely make things handle better man. No doubt about it. Fair call on the difference in price and less mileage, although I really don't like your interior colour. :P

Nah if you'd bought a H6 Lib you'd spend all your time trying to make it an STi, that's what seems to happen anyways.

Haha I'm not a fan either, but Megan liked it, and married men know the rule. Lol!

I'd be happier with black, which I still might change over to one day, if I run out of things to do with the car. Haha!

It would be the deal-breaker for me. I've never been a fan of lighter coloured interiors.

Me either, actually liked the black and blue interior in the B4, since it is a blue car, but yeah, Megan liked this colour. Oh well, I liked the engine, so that was the compromise :)
