That sounds awesome. I'm hoping to set up a wood ship in the next house we buy :) have to get my car projects done and dusted first though. Funds for the mini will be available by the end of the year :) just going to pay some cubt to do the body work. I simply don't have time!

A wood ship? Like an ark?

Yeah I hear you. But living in an apartment means I can't do much car work. Once I move to a house with a big double garage I can setup for cars. I need a bay to park the Jeep in and just dismantle it. That's when the big tools will come out, already warned wife about needing to buy a sandblaster, but they are petty cheap for the one I need. Have to go over entire engine, suspension and body with a fine tooth comb to ensure max resale value. Also have a lot of 70yo glass and gauges to repair, it's so farking difficult because having the original glass adds a lot to resale so I have to remove it and then get it reinstalled back to original condition.

Then when that is done I can bring in the mini.

Wonder if Kong will 'kong' the Jeep engine bay for me haha.

Good morning all.

Seriously can't survive Gary deciding between even more crucial life choices, like what phone to buy.

Hopefully you don't survive.

Yes and inside the ark will be all my tools :)

What are you planning in sand blasting? Small parts? I have a big pressure pot style sand blaster that works well. But large parts become tedious. Also it's messy as fork. Cabinets seem to be way better!

Yeah small parts to begin with, looking at one of those tub setups, like a 100L size. When the time comes to sand blast the body I might need to just strip it down and take it to a shop, then it can come back painted as well. Needs to be mounted on a rotisserie. Speaking of, Bennie has a mad farking setup down in Vic that lucky karnt.

I'm very much a throw money at the problem sort of guy, while I like DIY, I know my limits. If I have to pay for some of the work on the Jeep I will still finish up with over $20k profit.

Which I don't, so no.

Tempted to get breakfast from somewhere downstairs, but will probably just have a bigger lunch instead.

I'm at that point with the mini. Though it won't be for profit. Just to get the fucker done.

Looking at cutting the losses on the moke

Mokes are cool, but I feel they aren't worth the same as a restored Cooper. You could make a Moke out of a shell and a motorbike engine. Plus they are dangerous as fork.

Morning

Have to fly to Melb tonight, straight into that cubt of a cold front.

Don't let the breeze blow up your skirt.

All Bunning have is shit Ozito's and Ryobi's.

This.

However they do stock both pro and amature Makita. I bought my 10" Makita (blue) sliding compound miter saw and my (green) cut off saw from there.

If you want a good circular saw go a 8.25" in a Hitachi, heaps of grunt, bulletproof and light. I have a 10" Makita circular as well and I hardly use it, only for cutting mega thick timber as it has a deeper cut.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
