Got my dander up a bit today......
Went on a cruise with the car club. Arrived at meeting point one just ahead of the departure time, so had a quick chat while the mrs took the kids to the toilet.
Bloke (committee member) running the show says 'We'll head off in a minute".
Some else points out my missus is still inside, and I say "She will only be a minute".
"OK" says he.
A minute later the missus is still inside and he calls out "Lets get going"
I point out the missus is not back but won't be long.
He says " You can catch up" which had me a bit miffed.
Another member says "We will wait for you"
"Thanks" I say as the others head for their cars.
We leave for meet point two about 5 mins after they takeoff as I needed to check something on the car with the missus in the drivers seat.
When we arrived at the second meet point I go up to the muppet and in a manner that I believe was offering advice, I point out that the idea of a cruze was to travel together.
He replies "We waited"
I say " How could you have waited when you arrived at point two well ahead of us?"
He replies "We waited"
I get a bit more assertive and point out that I thought his actions were rude and that had we been a new members, we may well have bailed at that point.
He replies "We waited and there is no need to get like that about it." with a rather stern tone.
At that point I took a deep breath and walked off.
A little later muppet begins getting everyone together to head to the destination, and as he walks past me he deliberately calls out "Make sure we wait for everyone".
I whisper to him he better leave it alone.
Farkin pissed off with the behavior from someone who's job it is to represent the club.
