Has it has a wheel alignment or any work done to the steering recently?
Get the code read to start the diagnosis process.

Put wrx suspension in it this morning and now code gone...weird.
Is it the same process as reading b4 codes on my00 gt forester?

If it just had some sort of rego inspection, the light is not permitted to be on.
Chances are the code is still there, its just the fault that's gone.
I don't think you will to able to read ABS codes (different module) using the same process as reading B4 (engine?) codes.
