so iv installed the lock part of this central locking using the one wire method found on perth wrx (im using a R12-1c relay to wire it all up, theres a white wire that iv cut, the side that goes to the factory keyless entry module when grounded unlocks the doors, when you pull it off the ground the doors lock, the other side of this white wire does nothing when grounded.

i have everything all wired up as follows:

85: lock signal wire from viper module

30: keyless entry module side of white wire

87A: other side of white wire

87: ground

86: +12v

anyone have any idea why its only unlocking for a second?

iv included a pic of the relay diagram

cheers

luke

Maybe the alarm only pulses the signal (most do) and the vehicle needs the ground to be held either closed or open?

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

No idea about the WRX one-wire method, but it sounds like the viper only momentarily grounds its lock wire, whilst the doors / white wire to factory keyless needs a latched output (stays grounded to keep unlocked).

Not sure I understand the system - but the instructions here don't mention grounding pin 87 http://www.fobz.org/?page_id=17

I think you've got the white wire connections back to front. Try the keyless entry side on pin 87A, other white wire to 30, and disconnect ground from pin 87.

Then you'll have
No viper pulse:
keyless entry white wire connected as normal

Viper pulse:
open circuits keyless entry - causing it to lock.

Tried what you said, I can hear the relay tick over twice but nothing happens, with everything set up as previously mentioned and by bridging 30 and 85 it will click once and unlock, but won't click again and lock, I feel so close to having a car that locks again lol
