Your B4 is a single turbo and should already have UEL headers??

Standard unequal length manifold (good sound) shown with an aftermarket equal length manifold (bad sound).

I'd go those even length ones in a heartbeat because they're shiny as fork!

Are they the same as the ones Mark had and didn't like?

Nope, single.

Thanks boys... I'll have a look under the car later, but it does have the rumble but I think I lost it when I went from canon to oval muff

UEL = inefficiency, annoying sound (my opinion lol) and a bees dick more low end torque over EL

EL = more an evo sound, better performance and much better up top and typically all over the range due to better spool

And if you think EL sound shite youve never heard a well set up car with them ;)

My gen3 had the gt spec EL headers and sounds porn still to this day and gave me way more power up top, much better spool and all without sacrificing the bottom end torque

And my RS with the killer B headers.....simply amazing...my cams give me enough throb to make a standard piped suby sound like a dak dak lol

^ this

I do love the boxer rumble, but it reminds me of every cubt with a $30 cannon muffler.

One of the nicest things anyone said to me about my old B4 is that, even though I had uneven length headers.... it sounded like an evo..... your old B4 John ;)

Don't go chasing the noise of the boxer mate.  Expand on what you have.  Noise isn't power.

TT's at full swing are aural pleasure. It's a sound mix between UEL and EL. Sounds tits.

Used to love fisting my old Gen2 GTB  through tunnels with the windows down. (2.5" dumps 200 cell cat + 3" everything else Fuji muffler ).

Aftermarket headers like PSR UEL's are the best sounding hands down.
They have a mix of rumble and equal length. Mark (Berri) has them on his betty and it sounds amazing.

Has some rumble at idle and screams like an evo up top.

Killer b's do sounds good too ;)

Thats what I'm currently running Jimbo, same setup... And love it but I just hate hearing the engine over the rumble. Sounds great when it's driven but inside the cabin, sounds totally different...

BOSS, the whitekong had full custom TBE by one of the shops here... Loved the setup on it.

But I'll have to go over it again and see what I can do and best suits the car.

The EJ206/208's are LOUD motors. Something I have noticed compared to the EJ20G, 20R and 255.

The 06/08's have an angry gravelly harsh sound.

I need a louder exhaust to address this same errrr "Issue".

this but also the Tomie headers, still a little rumble down low but once you step on it, it just evens out, no rumble

Tomei headers are from the same factory as the psr's.
