There is an error code "SYS" on the Mcintosh cd player. Do I need to put a code in?

Not sure about the error code. I never had to put a security code in.

However, do you feel like replacing the speakers any time soon?

If so, you will need to replace everything including the head unit. The audio system uses a non-standard 8 Ohms. You can't just plug in any old speakers.

My speakers had deteriorated and I discovered the B4's funky setup. Re-ran new speaker wiring from my new speakers directly to the new head unit cutting out the old amp under the drivers seat and the crappy sub in the back.
